HELENE ROSE CHAVEZ DE GENTILI
Helene is a practicing Folk Healer (Curandera) and a Master Herbalist in the cultural fields of Mexican and American Folk Medicine. Also certified in Restorative Massage Therapy. Experienced in Schulman Therapy, Helene shares years of wisdom and knowledge from over twenty years of practice.
Helene is well respected in her field and works with doctors, chiropractors and nurses throughout Southern California. She can often be found teaching medical practitioners how to incorporate systematic cleansing and herbalism into their protocols.
Botanica West originally housed an old school herbal shop and mini clinic in Running Springs, California. Her clinic was also a teaching facility where several apprentices were taught how to utilize Native American and Mexican American herbal remedies as well as Chinese medicines while they attended their own certification-based programs.
Helene carries the practical wisdom of other healers and Curanderos and Curanderas. One of her cultural specialties is an ancient massage called, Empacho. This massage therapy is used to unblock the intestines and thereby relieve chronic constipation through the massage and palpitation of the organs while adjusting the bladder and the uterus.
Helene also practices an ancient form of lymphatic drainage and has added more modern methods in the way of far infrared, ozone steam chambers, Indian mud and/or herbal body wrapping along with dry brush massage and sweat therapy techniques–all quite unique.
In addition, her talent includes designing herbal remedies and preparing healing foods .
